
A Toms River man remains jailed on $25,000 bail after being indicted last week on burglary and theft charges.
Steven Cocuzza is accused of committing two burglaries in Berkeley in December. Authorities said he broke into a Thomas Drive home Dec. 28 then burglarized a Lagos Court home Dec. 30.
Cocuzza also stole more than $500 in jewelry from the Thomas Drive home, authorities said.

Cocuzza remains housed at Ocean County Jail, with the 10 percent option allowed on his $25,000 bail. If he makes bail, he is forbidden contact with the resident of the Thomas Drive home.
Berkeley police two Dec. 28 burglaries in Holiday City - one on St. Thomas Drive and one on Lagos Court. Someone used a tool to break into the back door of the St. Thomas Drive home and stole jewelry and other items, Berkeley Detective Sgt. James J. Smith Jr. said at the time.

Another burglary occurred the same day on Lagos Court, when someone kicked in the front door and stole $43, before the owner came out from another room and surprised the intruder, Smith said at the time.
Arrested in January was Cocuzza, 25, who previously listed a St. Thomas Drive address in Holiday City. He was charged with burglary and theft in connection with both Dec. 28 break-ins at the time.
