Storm Forecast Prompts Ocean County College Graduation Change
The storm threat has resulted in the college rescheduling its 2024 graduation ceremony.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — With severe thunderstorms in the weather forecast for Thursday, officials at Ocean County College announced the college's graduation ceremony has been rescheduled.
The commencement ceremony now is set for 10 a.m. Friday, on the lawn at the college's Gateway Building, officials said.
"More numerous” thunderstorms and heavy rain are set to develop Thursday evening — when the graduation previously had been scheduled — with gusty winds and hail, according to the National Weather Service. The potential for storms drops significantly by Friday morning, according to the forecast.

For those who cannot attend, the commencement ceremony will be broadcast live on Ocean TV-20 via Comcast Channel 20 and Verizon FiOS of Northern Ocean County Channel 24, as well as on the college’s website at www.ocean.edu. Broadcasts will be repeated throughout the month; please check our website for repeat broadcast times.
