Toms River Cinco De Mayo Festival Coming This Weekend

Here's when Toms River will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo this year; plus, five other spots for Mexican cuisine this weekend.

TOMS RIVER, NJ - If you're seeking last-minute Cinco de Mayo plans in Toms River, you’re in luck.

Downtown Toms River will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo event on May 6 from noon to 5 p.m., complete with a live mariachi band, food and drinks, as well as handcraft vendors and nearby local businesses to peruse. The event will be held on Washington Street between Main & Robbins Streets.

If one celebration isn’t enough, there’s still plenty of good choices for Mexican fare around Toms River throughout the weekend.

Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant on Route 37 will be giving away souvenir cups and the chance to win a trip to Mexico on May 5 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., as well as live mariachi music.
