TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Township Council has scheduled a special meeting for Monday at town hall for a vote on the township's proposed purchase of the former boatworks property.

The meeting is set for 3 p.m. in the Hirshblond Room on the second floor of the municipal building at 33 Washington St., Toms River.

A public notice published Friday in the Star-Ledger of Newark says the meeting agenda is scheduled to include a public hearing on ordinance to purchase the property at 1 Robbins Parkway along with the ordinance approving bonding for the property purchase.

TOMS RIVER TOWNSHIP PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:4-8(b) and (d) the Toms River Township Council will be conducting a special meeting on July 15, 2024, at 3:00 P.M.

The meeting will be held in-person in the Hirshblond Room on the second floor of the Toms River Township Municipal Building located at 33 Washington Street, Toms River, New Jersey, 08753.

The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Township's Youtube Channel. The agenda shall include (1) final readings and public comment on an ordinance pertaining to the Township's purchase of the 1 Robbins Parkway property; (2) final readings and public comment on the related bond ordinance providing for the acquisition of real property for municipal purposes; and (3) other routine items of public business.
