Freezing Rain Expected Overnight In Wayne: See Latest Weather Forecast
Some icy spots are possible for the Friday morning commute with freezing rain likely overnight, forecasters said.
WAYNE, NJ — Some freezing rain on Thursday night and into Friday morning could make for a tricky commute in the Wayne area, forecasters said.
As of 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Wayne Township was not under a winter weather advisory, though forecasters are still warning of some possible icy spots on the roads and sidewalks Friday morning.
A winter weather advisory was issued for western Passaic County, from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday morning.

Temperatures overnight will be just below freezing, and precipitation is expected between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.
Little to no ice accumulation is expected, before the precipitation changes over to rain by late morning.

Elsewhere in northwestern New Jersey: Sussex, Warren, and Morris counties are under a winter weather advisory from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Friday.
And, there looks to be a chance of snow on Sunday night.

Thursday night: A chance of freezing rain, mainly after 4am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 29. South wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Friday: Freezing rain before 8am, then rain. High near 40. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
Friday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36.
Sunday Night: A chance of rain and snow before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
