Westfield is well known for its beautiful homes, both old and new. The 6th Annual Hearth and Home Tour will take place on October 17.

Westfield is well known for its beautiful homes, both old and new, in a myriad of styles. This year, the Hearth and Home Kitchen Tour will again give the public a chance to see seven of these gracious homes from the inside.
This self-guided tour is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seven stunning homes on this year’s tour vary in style both inside and out. As always, the homes feature recently redesigned kitchens and other beautiful living areas.

“All of these homes are amazing, each in their own special way,” said Committee Chair, Robyn Kelly, a parent at the school and a local resident. “We are so grateful to the homeowners who are opening their doors for our tour. Their generosity and enthusiasm to share their homes is a blessing to us.”
Tour attendees will also be able to speak with the interior designers, contractors, and kitchen planners, who will be on hand at the homes to answer questions.

“Every year we’ve gotten wonderful feedback from the professionals who take the time to be present in the homes,” Kelly said. “It’s another special element of our event – that our guests will have the chance talk to the professionals who designed the kitchen, decorated the home, and in some cases built the home.”
Another feature of the tour is a culinary sampling at each home prepared and presented by a local chef or baker.
“You don’t have to schedule time to stop for lunch!” Kelly said. “You will be able enjoy a delicious treat at each house.”
One of the homes will feature a Raffle! This raffle will boast many beautiful baskets as well as larger items, most of which are home and cuisine themed. Raffle tickets will be on sale at that house during the tour. Winning tickets will be selected at 4 p.m. and winners will be notified by phone.
The first 350 ticket holders will receive a gift bag with a variety of samples, magazines and gifts courtesy of the many sponsors of the event.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 at local establishments such as Baron’s, The Town Book Store, and Christoffer’s. They can also be ordered online at htisnj.com or Westfieldkitchetour.com. Tickets can also be purchased at any house on the day of the event for $45.
