Town of Westfield Announces Residential Bulk Waste Collection Program
Westfield's annual residential bulk waste collection program is for non-toxic, non-organic, non-recyclable household waste.

The Town of Westfield announced the dates for its annual residential bulk waste collection program.
Residents who have non-toxic, non-organic, non-recyclable household waste can participate in the program. For a permit fee of $80 per 750 pounds of waste, residents can place program acceptable waste on the curb for pickup, the Town of Westfield said.
Collection dates are based upon the ward in which a resident’s home is located.

Residents located in Ward 2 will have their household waste picked up between June 1 and June 5; Ward 3 between June 8 and June 12; Ward 4 between June 15 and June 19; and Ward 1 between June 22 and June 26, the town said.
Pre-registration is required. Residents can fill out a registration form and mail it payment of $80 per 750 pounds of waste, made payable to the Town of Westfield, to the Westfield Department of Public Works, 959 North Ave. West, Westfield, NJ 07090. Or residents can register in person at the DPW on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents in Ward 2 must register by mail no later than May 15 or in person from May 4 to May 29; Ward 3 must be mailed by May 22 or in person between May 4 and June 5; Ward 4 must be mailed by May 29 or in person between May 4 and June 12; and Ward 1 must be mailed by June 5 or in person between May 4 and June 19.
An additional $20 will be charged for late registration.
The program will accept a number of materials, including:
- Appliances with doors removed (stoves, washers, dryers, etc.)
- Bathtubs
- Bicycles
- Carpeting and matting
- Doors, windows, screens
- Fencing sections (less than 6 feet long)
- Furniture
- Hot water heaters
- Lawn mowers (non-riding)
- Lawn furniture
- Tools
- Toys
