US 1&9 Water Main Break In Elizabeth Closes Lanes Saturday: DOT

ELIZABETH, NJ - A water main break on US 1&9 in Elizabeth has prompted commuting delays Saturday, authorities said.

As of 11:10 a.m., there’s a water main break on US 1&9 southbound south of CR 624/North Avenue in Elizabeth, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Two right lanes and shoulder are closed. There is currently a 5- to 10-minute delay, the agency said.
