Art Exhibit Coming To Westfield This Weekend

The public is invited to an art exhibit on Saturday hosted by local Westfield painter and sculptor Shirley Wallitsch.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Local artist Shirley Wallitsch is hosting a vibrant art exhibit in her Westfield gallery on Saturday, Jan. 8.

The exhibition at Wallitsch Art — 100 Elmer Street — will feature a selection of Wallitsch's paintings and is open to the public from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Originally from a small town in Wyoming, Wallitsch made her way to the east coast in her early twenties to study art, according to her website. She attended the Rochester Art Guild as a resident artist and then went on to study painting at the Art Students League in New York in the 1980s.
