WESTFIELD, NJ - Westfield firefighters battled an afternoon brush fire that prompted NJ Transit delays Thursday, fire officials said.

The fire was reported near Traffic Circle by the eastbound train tracks, according to a statement posted to Facebook by the Westfield Fire Department shortly after 3:30 p.m.

No injuries or property damage were listed in the post from the fire department.
