The man allegedly sexually assaulted a minor while she was between the ages of 6 and 11.

A Bergen County man was arrested Thursday for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with a minor when she was between the ages of 6 and 11.

Olayo F. Matamoros-Anazco, 53, of Hackensack, was arrested after his alleged victim, now 13-years-old, “disclosed to a school guidance counselor what had occurred,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

“School officials notified the Hackensack Police Department, who then contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Special Victims Unit,” Molinelli said. Arrangements were made for the victim to be interviewed by a detective at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus.
