At approximately 8:30 pm, while on motor patrol an officer observed a vehicle travailing on Orangeburg Road traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer activated his radar unit and confirmed the vehicle travelling at 51 miles per hour in a 35 MPH zone. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Blue Hill Road near Maple Street. A back up officer arrived. When the officer approached the vehicle he immediately detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver subsequently voluntarily surrendered a liquid THC container. The officer subsequently searched the vehicle and located a bag containing marijuana and 3 marijuana cigarettes. The 20-year-old female from Orangeburg, NY was read her Miranda Rights and placed under arrest. She was transported to Police headquarters and processed. The woman was issued a criminal complaint for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 grams and motor vehicle summonses for Speeding and Maintenance of Lamps. She was released pending an appearance at the River Vale Municipal Court on 1/7/2020 at 3:30 pm.

At approximately 12:10 am, while on motor patrol, an officer was conducting random license plate queries when the response from a passing vehicle displayed an outstanding warrant for the vehicles registered owner. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Piermont Avenue near Cedar Lane. A back up officer arrived on scene. A further computer check confirmed that driver of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant from Jersey City, NJ for $1000.00. The 26-year-old male from Springfield, NJ was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The man was unable to post the required bail. The Jersey City Police Department was contacted, responded and took custody of the man.

At approximately 4:125 pm, while on motor patrol, an officer was conducting random license plate queries when the response from a passing vehicle displayed that the vehicle’s registration was suspended. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Blue Hill Road near Maple Avenue. The driver presented an International Drivers License that was determined to be fraudulent. A back up officer arrived, and the 42-year-old male from Paterson, NJ was placed under arrest. He was read his Miranda Rights and transported to police headquarters. The man was processed and issued a criminal complaint for Unsworn Falsification to Authorities and motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Registration Suspended and Unlicensed Driver. He was released pending an appearance at the River Vale Municipal Court on 1/7/2020 at 3:30 pm.

At approximately 9:30 am, while on motor patrol, an officer was conducting random license plate queries when the response from a passing vehicle displayed that the registered owner had a suspended Driver’s License and an outstanding warrant. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in a parking lot of 688 Westwood Avenue. The driver of the vehicle provided a false name and date of birth to the officer. Further inquiry determined that the driver was the registered owner of the vehicle. A back up officer arrived and the 42-year-old female from Fort Lee, NJ was placed under arrest. She was read her Miranda Rights and transported to police headquarters. The outstanding warrant for $250.00 from Ridgefield Park, NJ was confirmed. The woman posted the requisite bail and was issued a criminal complaint for Hindering Apprehension and motor vehicle summonses for Driving With a Suspended Driver’s License, Failure to Exhibit Insurance Card and Failure to Exhibit Driver’s License. She was released pending an appearance at the River Vale Municipal Court on 1/7/2020 at 3:30 pm.
