New Director, Trustees, Extended Hours at Washington Township Library
"March is the beginning of a new atmosphere" at the library.

The Washington Township Library recently welcomed new director Laura Rifkin and Mayor Janet Sobkowicz recently swore-in new library board Trustee Julie Keating and President Nancy Salvi.
Rifkin has 13 years experience working in Bergen County libraries, including Franklin Lakes, Upper Saddle River and Closter, along with the New York City Public Library.
The library is extending its hours as of Monday, opening at 9:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. There are also several new programs, including:

- Every Monday in March, starting at 10 a.m. come meet and greet new Library Director Laura Rifkin. Please stop by and tell her about your library experiences and thoughts for how the library can help you in the future.
- Every Wednesday in March, at 1 p.m. adult Stitch n' “B”. Do you quilt? Knit? Crochet? Crossstitch? Bring your project to the library, make new friends and check out some of our great crafting materials.
- Every Thursday in March at 2 p.m. the library will show a new feature film. Check with the library for titles and ratings.
- Every Thursday in March at 7 p.m. the library will have a free adult Tech class. These classes will bedone as a group in our community room, and individuals can be seen as needed during library hours. Class topics are as follows: March 7- e-books & e-readers, March 14- navigating the new BCCLSwebsite, March 21- e-books & e-readers, March 28- creating a BCCLS online account.
