Westwood School Board to Discuss Zoeller in Private Session
Westwood Regional Schools Superintendent Geoffrey Zoeller brought home a district-owned truck and generator for Hurricane Sandy-related problems.

The Westwood Regional Board of Education is scheduled to discuss Superintendent Geoffrey Zoeller during an executive session before their regular meeting Thursday.
Some Westwood and Washington Township residents were upset that Zoeller took home a district-owned truck and generator for Hurricane Sandy when thousands of local residents and several schools were without power.
Zoeller told Patch he had not waived his confidentiality rights, so the board will meet in private. Zoeller will not attend the closed session.

Board of Education President Carol Mountain told Patch Monday that she could not speak about the issue because it is a personnel matter. The board cannot publicly discuss personnel issues unless the staff member waives their right to privacy.
Zoeller currently makes more than $200,000 in his position. The board approved annually because of state-mandated salary caps.

The board will hold its closed session at 6 p.m. Thursday and begin its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.
