$10K Donated To First Responders Appreciation Event In Wyckoff

Businesses donated $10,000 to the township for its fireworks show Saturday that will support the township's first responders.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Businesses in Wyckoff donated a total of $10,000 to the township for its Sept. 24 fireworks event, the proceeds for which will support local first responders.

Event co-sponsors Lakeland Bank and ShopRite of Wyckoff each presented $5,000 checks to the township mayor, council and fire department.

"I hope to see many people come out and enjoy the fireworks. These volunteers sacrifice their time to help the community," Lakeland Bank Branch Manager of the Wyckoff office Giuseppe Cascio said, referring to the first responders.

Fireworks will begin at approximately 8 p.m., the township said.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and asked to donate $20 per family to support the fire department and ambulance corps.
