Police Catch 2 Men Stealing Used Tires In Wyckoff: Police

Two men were arrested when police caught them stealing tires in Wyckoff, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Two men were arrested for stealing used tires in Wyckoff last month, police said.

Police said that around 10 p.m. on Dec. 8, Officer Kenneth Marcoux noticed a suspicious vehicle at a business on Main Street.

While investigating, he determined that two men were loading their truck with used tires belonging to the business, police said. They didn't have permission from the business to do so.

Police arrested both men and took them to headquarters.

Gonzalo F. Olivera, 23, of Elizabeth was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, hindering apprehension by giving a false name, and
possession of burglary tools, police said.

Geovanni Hernandez, 26, of Hillside, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property, police said.

Both were taken to the Bergen County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, police said.
