WYCKOFF, NJ — Congratulations and well wishes were offered Tuesday to two retiring Ramapo Indian Hills Regional School District employees — one of whom served 28 years and the other 16 years — for the "exemplary service" that they have provided children.

During its regular meeting, the district's Board of Education recognized George "Kirby" Hummel, who served 28 years as a custodial and maintenance staff member, and Elizabeth Cericola, who served 16 years as an Business Education Teacher.

Hummel, who served at Ramapo High School, and Cericola, who served at Indian Hills High School, each displayed an "unselfish commitment to our children, exemplifying the ideals of professionalism and the standard of excellence," a motion to accept their retirement, as recommended by the superintendent, said.
