5 Things: The Franklin Lakes Public Library

Franklin Lakes boasts one of the best libraries in Bergen County. Here are 5 Things to know about the library this week.

1. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM at the Library! Teen Ice Cream Social is Monday at 7 p.m.

2. The Children's Departments 2011 Summer Reading Program early bird registration begins Monday. The club is open to all young people, pre-school through grade 6 who are residents of Franklin Lakes. And while you are here, check out the new artwork framing the Children's Library entrance.

3. Need help studying for finals? Try live homework help, one of dozens of online resources.

4. History Librarian Samantha McCoy has been collecting Oral Histories from senior residents of Franklin Lakes. Watch the videos and learn!

5. The library is a great place to beat the heat on hot summer days. Just not on Sundays. From July until Labor Day the library is closed on Sundays.
