Bare Life Expands Distribution of Plant-based, Gluten-Free Hot Cocoa

As customer growth continues across the Northeast and nationwide for their signature plant-based and gluten-free hot cocoa, Bare Life is now expanding in-store shopping to 13 ShopRite locations throughout New Jersey. This latest expansion was achieved in partnership with the ShopRite Inserra Supermarket Group, and Bare Life’s newest distributor, Rainforest Distribution.

Shoprite Inserra Group Grows Bare Life Availability Throughout New Jersey

The latest additions in Bare Life’s New Jersey expansion includes Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite locations in Bayonne, Hackensack, Hillsdale, Hoboken, Lodi, Lyndhurst, Jersey City, New Milford, Northvale, Ramsey, Wallington, West Milford and Wyckoff, allowing Bare Life to expand its product availability to more customers throughout the state.

Customers in these locations can purchase the award-winning hot cocoa mix as a single serving, stand-up pouch, or 10-pack. The signature Bare Life hot cocoa mix is made with five naturally simple ingredients and produced by an organic and kosher certified, Connecticut-based, woman-owned small business.

Inserra Supermarkets are family owned and operated, with a total of 25 store locations. Inserra Supermarkets provides customers with locally sourced specialty items, farm to table fresh produce, dairy, meats and poultry, and a large selection of brands to choose from. Their wide selection of groceries from both store and national brands include fresh produce, and a wide variety of locally sourced organic, and gluten-free foods.

Bare Life’s Coconut Hot Cocoa Mix is made using organic coconut milk powder, organic coconut sugar, organic unsweetened cacao, organic ground vanilla beans and Himalayan salt, making it the perfect addition to the shelves of Inserra Supermarket ShopRite stores. The signature hot cocoa mix is made without any preservatives or fillers and is sustainably sourced from socially conscious producers.

Bare Life Adds Newest Distributor

Bare Life’s newest distributor, Rainforest Distribution, begins their partnership by facilitating distribution of the award-winning hot cocoa to the 13 new ShopRite locations in New Jersey. The full-service food and beverage distributor serves the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States for over 100 brands, and distributes over 1,000 products.

Bare Life’s Company Mission

Bare Life was founded by Lazowski for those, like herself, who live with chronic illnesses, allergies and sensitivities. Lazowski started the allergen friendly hot cocoa company after being diagnosed her junior year of college with IBS, Hashimoto's disease, Thyroid cancer, and Lyme disease. The chronic conditions and diseases she was diagnosed with required a change in her diet.

Her dietary needs included foods that were gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free. She found that the foods available either did not taste good or did not cover multiple allergens. Taking matters into her own hands – literally – she developed the original Bare Life recipe in her own kitchen.

Statistics show that 133 million Americans (40% of the population) live with chronic illness, and even more are affected by them, and 15 million Americans have food allergies. Bare Life was created to bring crave-worthiness and convenience to allergen-friendly eating. In short, to help people re-discover their yum.

Since its founding, the award-winning hot cocoa mix has sold over 245,000 mugs of hot cocoa, earning a customer base in all 50 states.
