Celebrating Everyday VIPs

Annual FAMS dance a thank you to parents, grandparents and other important adults.

Franklin Avneue Middle School Peer Leadership Corps hosted its 11th Annual "Very Important Person Celebration" Dinner Dance earlier this month. Seventh and eighth graders were invited to bring a V.I.P. as their date as a thank you. The V.I.P guests included parents, grandparents, relatives, teachers, coaches, and many other adults who have been a special part of the students life.

"The Peer Leadership Corps is FAMS service based program and has always been about giving back to others," FAMS guidance counselor MaryBeth Kopics told Patch. "And that was the purpose of this celebration."
