Driver Hospitalized After Slamming Car Into Bergen County Home: Police
A driver experiencing a medical episode rammed into a house in Bergen County on Monday afternoon, police said.
OAKLAND, NJ — An 87-year-old driver experiencing a "medical episode" slammed his car into the side of a home in Oakland on Monday, police said.
The Oakland Police Department responded Monday afternoon to a report of a vehicle crash on Franklin Avenue, police said.
The driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with minor injuries.

Sgt. Don Harvey and officers Jake Martin, Joe Burns, and John Gordon investigated the crash and determined it was caused by the medical episode, according to Captain Timothy Keenan.
No residents of the home were injured, Keenan said, and the house was determined to be safe by the local building department.
