Bring Hazardous Waste to County Depot

The Bergen County Utilities Authority will hold a hazardous waste collection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine, at its location at the foot of Empire Boulevard in Moonachie.

The program offers county residents the chance to dispose of household hazardous waste, including the following items: aerosol cans, gasoline, antifreeze, woodlife, batteries, blacktop sealer, fire extinguishers, fluorescent light bulbs, used motor oil, varnishes, latex- and oil-based paints, pesticides, photographic chemicals, solvents and thinners, propane gas cylinders, thermostats and mercury switches.
