The township would like to inform residents that garbage collection crews will be working starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, despite the anticipated snow storm.
Residents are requested to place their garbage receptacles out for collection before 6 a.m. and 4 feet back from the curb/edge of pavement. Due to the prediction of snow, placing garbage receptacles a few feet behind the edge of pavement will allow the garbage collection crews to collect the garbage receptacles and prevent them from being knocked over by plowed snow.
Additionally, the township asks residents to place a lid on garbage receptacles, as it pays for disposal by weight, and dry garbage costs less than wet garbage.
