(CHCC) is offering a free American Heart Association CPR Anytime program from 7:30 to 9 p.m. June 8, in the CHCC Auditorium (use the 700 Mountain Ave. entrance).

Participants will learn the basics of CPR for adults, children and infants and will take home a practice mannequin, DVD and certificate of completion. Light refreshments will be served.

Class size is limited to 40 participants, and pre-registration is required. The deadline to register is June 1. To register, call 201-848-5226 or e-mail mjuergens@chccnj.org. If registered participants need to cancel prior to the program, call CHCC as there will be a waiting list.

This training will help participants to feel confident in an emergency situation where CPR is needed, and as a collective community benefit, the training will increase awareness of life-saving techniques for adults, children, and infants. The course will be run by nurse Elaine Peneno, CHCC's long-term care clinical educator and a certified CPR instructor.

CHCC is able to offer this program to the community at no charge thanks to a generous grant received by the CHCC Foundation from the Richard A. and Loretta M. Stratton Foundation of Franklin Lakes.
