Learn if Your Child is a 'Digitally Distracted Teen'

School counselor Dr. Tom Kersting will present "The Digitally Distracted Teen" at 7 p.m. May 13 at Indian Hills High School.

Kersting will explore the affects media and technology is having on kids' lives and how it has "led to a plethora of psychologically fragile kids." The discussion will include:

•  Social networking disorder;
•   Technology, the brain and school performance;
•   Texting, sexting and cyber-bullying;
•  Sleep-deprived kids;
•  ADD/ADHD;
•  Embracing boredom.

The forum, open to all, will be held in the small conference room across from the main office.
