Maple Sugaring Demo and Pancake Breakfast

Bergen County will sponsor its annual maple sugaring demonstration and pancake breakfast on March 13 at the .

Demonstrations will take place at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the sugar shack next to the Depew Barn.

 Staff members will demonstrate the process of making maple syrup—from splitting the wood to tapping the trees and boiling the sap into syrup.

The annual pancake breakfast will coincide with the maple sugaring demonstration. The menu, which is cooked and served by park employees and volunteers, includes pancakes, served with pure "Ramapo Gold" maple syrup, sausages and coffee, tea or juice. The cost is $5 for adults or children. The breakfast, held in the parking lot in the picnic area, will take place at 9:30, 10, 10:30 or 11 a.m.
