Ex-Fox 5 Reporter from Wyckoff Sentenced to 26 Years in Child Sex Abuse Case

Charles Leaf maintained his innocence during a sentencing hearing Friday, report said.

A former Fox 5 reporter from Wyckoff will spend 26 years in jail after being convicted on child molestation charges, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, Charles Leaf continued to deny having an inappropriate relationship with a four-year-old family acquaintance during the sentencing Friday. 

Leaf was found guilty of eight charges related to sexual assault in February, the report said. Authorities said he touched the girl's private parts, and instructed her to touch his, the report said.

The girl told a babysitter about the incident in 2010, leading to the trial, the report said.

Leaf said he would appeal the conviction, the report said.
