Expect Delays As Crews Complete Water Main Installation In Wyckoff

As the installation enters the final phase, the township is asking for resident cooperation to complete the project.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Crews are entering the final stage of installation of a Helena Avenue water main, and motorists are subject to up to 15-minute delays while work is completed, the township said in an alert.

Excavation across both lanes of traffic will be required for a "significant portion of the day," in order to complete this phase, the township said, advising strongly that residents limit traffic to and from homes.

If possible, and to avoid the traffic delay, residents are urged to park at the end of Helena Avenue until the project is complete. Emergency access will be provided via a road plate placed over the trench, the alert said.
