Franklin Lakes Graduate Headed To U.S. Military Academy

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A local military academy graduate will attend the United States Military Academy in the fall.

Brandon Osafo was graduated from the Valley Forge Military Academy and College (VFMA) in Pennsylvania, a private, college preparatory school. He transferred there from Carson Long Military Academy, which closed in 2018.

Osafo will continue his education at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, VFMA said in a statement.

"The cadets of the class of 2019 have developed into leaders of character who are ready to face any challenge with confidence, strength and honor," said Col. Stuart B. Helgeson, USMCR (Ret.), VFMA superintendent. "We wish them all the best as they continue their education and continue to make us proud."
