Franklin Lakes PD: BMW Stolen, Six Cars Burglarized

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ - Police say they are investigating reports of a stolen vehicle and six car burglaries that occurred sometime during the overnight hours of Monday into Tuesday.

According to Capt. John Bakelaar, the department received the following reports:

• 7:33 AM – A Scioto Dr resident reported that during the overnight, his BMW was stolen from the driveway.
• 7:54 AM – A Longbow Dr resident reported that during the overnight, two vehicles parked in the driveway were burglarized.
• 8:28 AM – A Northwood Dr resident reported that during the overnight, a vehicle parked in the driveway was burglarized.
• 8:45 AM – A Garden Ct resident reported that during the overnight, three vehicles parked in the driveway were burglarized.

The captain said the vehicles were all left unlocked.
