Here's Who's Running For School Board In The Ramapo-Indian Hills District
The deadline to run for local school board was Monday. Here are the candidates who filed to lead the Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional board.
OAKLAND, NJ — The deadline to file forms to run for Board of Education in November was this Monday.
Candidates in Oakland, Wyckoff, and Franklin Lakes can vote for candidates for their local boards, and also for the Ramapo-Indian Hills board that oversees the two high schools.

High school students from Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes, and Oakland attend the two high schools in the Ramapo-Indian Hills district, which has its own regional school board made up of members from the three towns.
In that, three candidates from Wyckoff are competing for two seats representing the town on the board. One Franklin Lakes resident also is running for one spot.

The Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional school board candidates are:
- Maria "Amparo" Underfer (for the Franklin Lakes spot)
- Thomas Bogdansky (Wyckoff)
- Othiamba Lovelace (Wyckoff)
- Doreen Mariani (Wyckoff)
Voters can choose any candidates, regardless of whether they are on a slate together.
Franklin lakes is also having an election for its town school board. Three people have filed to run for three spots, so the race is uncontested. They are:
- Elisa J. Billis
- Lisa Cardella
- Robert Spitott
The November school elections will be held concurrent with the General Election on Nov. 4.
