Local Deals: Wyckoff PTO Economy Shop

Looking to save in this economy? Consignment shops are the way to go.

Secondhand wares don't come much nicer than those at the Wyckoff PTO Economy Shop, 399 Main St., Wyckoff. The shop in the rehabilitated train stop building is a volunteer run consignment shop that donates its profits to the local school system—almost $40,000 last year alone. Items can be put on consignment or donated and include mens, women and children's clothing, shoes and accessories, books, toys and more.

Hours: The shop is only open when school is in session and the hours (which are subject to change) are Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to noon, Thursday  9: 30 a.m. to noon and 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of the Month, 10 a.m .to 1 p.m.  The store closes for the season by the first week of June.

Receiving: Donations can be dropped off at any time, but consignment is by appointment only during shop hours. Call 201-891-5765.
