A Look Inside American Dream's Indoor Ski & Snowboard Park

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - The indoor ski and snowboard park at American Dream officially opened to the public Thursday afternoon.
Big SNOW, a 180,000-square-foot, 16-story, climate-controlled facility, will offer visitors a variety of experiences, from an indoor bunny hill for beginners to a black diamond trail for experts.

There will also be lessons, private coaching, children's programs and special events at Big SNOW, which is being billed as North America's largest indoor ski and snow park.
Big SNOW's grand opening celebration included appearances by Olympic Gold medalists Lindsey Vonn, Red Gerard, Kelly Clark and Donna Weinbrecht.

- There's three trails and four lifts, as well as a snow play area for people who don't want to ski or snowboard.
- The park is kept at 28 degrees year-round to keep snow conditions consistent and optimal.
- There's a gourmet hot cocoa shop to grab a warm drink at.
- It is located on the second floor of the mall's A wing. The closest parking area is located in the A deck, which is the deck under the ski slope.
- Big SNOW is operated by SNOW Operating, which runs Mountain Creek in Sussex County.
- Parking is free at the mall, except during games, concerts and other special events at MetLife Stadium, event parking rates are in effect at American Dream's lot, which are $30 without a prepaid Giants parking pass and $45 without a prepaid Jets pass. The rates will be charged five hours prior to the game's start until one hour after kick-off.
- The park will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., year-round.
- Tickets can be purchased here. Equipment rentals, helmets, outerwear, tickets and a complimentary introductory lesson are available for $49.99 plus tax per person. For those who already own gear, tickets for those ages 7 and up are $34.99 for two hours or $49.99 for four hours.

American Dream, the massive $5 billion Meadowlands shopping and entertainment venue opened Oct. 25 unveiling Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and an NHL-size ice rink. Other attractions, shopping and dining will follow over the next several months.
DreamWorks Water Park, an indoor water park that will include the world's largest indoor water coaster, a free fall slide with a 70-foot drop, a lazy river and a 1.5-acre wave pool was supposed to open Nov. 27, but the mall recently announced it would be delayed until further notice.
