Neighbors commenting on a Facebook post from the town said they hoped a vigil or another type of memorial could be arranged as well.
"As much as the world is mourning the loss of Malcom Jamal-Warner, Ozzy and now Hulk Hogan," wrote one woman, "I mourn more for this family and child who's life was cut short."
The county prosecutor's office had said that the female driver of the vehicle that hit the family remained on the scene. The crash is being investigated.
More than 600 people had donated to the fundraiser by late Monday. It can be found here.
