
The Franklin Lakes Public Schools has a new official web site here.
According to a statement from the Franklin Lakes Public School System, for the past several months, the technology team, administrators, teachers, and secretaries have worked to plan, build, train and publish the site.
"The benefit of going live in the Spring is that we can spend the rest of the year not only living with the new site but also experiencing firsthand how it meets our needs and where we need to tweak and further develop," said the statement.

Residents will find the content a "more consistent presentation across departments and schools, an easier navigation structure, and more currently updated information."
The teacher pages will feature introductions to each classroom (i.e., procedures and/or expectations), teacher office hours, short biographies and educational philosophies, classroom resource links and documents, and regularly updated homework.

"The District recognizes the importance of homework as part of the educational process and has adopted policy #6154 that establishes homework guidelines. Homework posted on this website is as up to date as practically possible, is subject to revision, and serves as a guide for students and parents."
Parents are encouraged to "use it as a tool for engaging with your children and as a guide for what you can expect to see on a weekly basis."
While the school administrations are "very excited about using SchoolFusion as our website provider," some "unexpected hiccups" may present themselves. The school disctrict ask parents to be aware, but the new site is expected to continue to make the school district proficient and more user friendly.
