No Time To Vote? Mail-In Ballots Available

Apply by mail for a mail-in ballot by April 20 for this year's school election.

Did you know that in New Jersey, you can now vote by mail in any election? And you don't even need a reason. To do so, complete the application for the Vote by Mail Ballot (attached) and sent it to the County Clerk (address is on the form).

The form must be received by the County Clerk seven days prior to the election and the mail-in ballot must be returned to the clerk before the close of the election. You may also apply in person to the County Clerk until 3 p.m., the day before the election. The office is Room 130, Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack.

Once you apply for a mail-in ballot, however, you will not be permitted to vote at the polls for the election or elections specified on your mail-in ballot application form.

This year's school budget vote is on Wednesday, April 27. To register to vote by mail, the application by mail needs to arrive with the county clerk by April 20 and should be in the mail by Monday, April 18 to be safe.
