Open Letter to Wyckoff: The Significance of Conservative Values in Education Today

Addressing the critical upcoming Board of Education race on November 4, 2025.

In today's highly polarized political landscape, the influence of political ideology on our local school systems has become increasingly evident.

Three years ago, when I ran for the Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education, our district was grappling with the challenges of the pandemic and a governor whose personal ideology was permeating our school culture and curriculum, which became evident to parents as their children attended Zoom classes from home. What parents shared at Board of Education Meetings motivated my campaign to safeguard the educational environment for future generations of Wyckoff students from concepts that prioritize race, gender ideology, and anti-American perspectives.

As the current Vice President of Board, I can proudly reflect on the strides we've made. My voting record illustrates my unwavering commitment to advocating for a curriculum rooted in core subjects and traditional academic disciplines.

Before the pandemic, political affiliation received little attention. Today, it is essential to understand a potential candidates values, in my case, conservative values means personal responsibility, respect for all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, or gender, and patriotism, within our schools. It is crucial to ensure parental rights, protect girls' sports and private spaces, and teach traditional American history alongside civic principles that celebrate the achievements and founding ideals of our nation. Education plays a vital role in shaping character and instilling virtues such as hard work, discipline, and respect for authority—crucial components that foster a productive environment.

I have consistently upheld my principles, despite facing strong opposition. My voting record reflects my dedication to maintaining a safe, supportive, and enriching educational environment. I am committed to continuing this mission in my next term, with the support of my amazing Wyckoff Community.

Now, perhaps more than ever, having "real" conservative values on our school board is essential, particularly with the upcoming New Jersey gubernatorial race.

Regardless of your political affiliation, I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote. Vote early, vote by mail, or vote in person.
