Registration Open for Franklin Lakes Mayors Wellness Campaign's 'Living Healthy Challenge'

The 10-week challenge that will guide participants through their "journey to bring health and wellness into" their everyday life.

Registration is now open for the Franklin Lakes Mayors Wellness Campaign’s Living Healthy Challenge, a 10-week challenge that will guide participants through their “journey to bring health and wellness into” their everyday life.

The challenge will run from April to June and will feature the following programs and activities;

  • Physical activity at local fitness centers, which will offer free or discounted exercise programs
  • Healthy eating through nutrition programs, cooking classes, healthy eating tips and recipes offered through the MWC
  • Health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and other health measures offered by the Bergen County Department of Health Services and other partners
  • Stanford University’s acclaimed chronic disease self-management program “Take Control of Your Health”
  • Motivational e-mails from the MWC via email, Facebook and Twitter.

The Challenge is open to Franklin Lakes residents 18 years and anyone who works or owns a business in Franklin Lakes. Participants should pre-register by March 20 to guarantee a journal.
