
A special public meeting of the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education will be held Thursday at 6 p.m., in the District Conference Room at Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education.
No agenda has been posted, however a notice sent out by the district states, "The Board will take action on personnel, renewal rates for health insurance and general insurance, the successor Agreement between the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Board of Education and the Ramapo Indian Hills Education Association, and any other business as necessary."
The 300-member Ramapo Indian Hills Education Association worked this school year under a contract that expired last June. In May, Board President Ira Belsky announced the board and the teacher's union had reached a "preliminary agreement" with the Board of Education for a new contract

"The agreement is subject to final details being worked out, ratification by the teacher's association and then approval by the Board," Belsky told Patch. "We hope to have this all completed before July 1."
Details of the new contract have not be released. RIHEA representatives have not responded to numerous requests for an interview.
