Serial Wyckoff Shoplifter Arrested Again: Police

David Baumeister, 48, was charged with shoplifting and defiant trespass, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A serial township shoplifter was caught stealing from a township store recently, police said.

David Baumeister, 48, was charged with shoplifting and defiant trespassing, said Lt. Joseph Soto.

Township police were sent to a local business June 22 at about 7:30 p.m. on a report of a shoplifting, Soto said.

Police found store personnel detaining Baumeister. Police took Baumeister to headquarters and charged him. He was released pending a court date, Soto said.

Baumeister was arrested twice in January for shoplifting.
