Services Set For 4-Year-Old Boy Killed In Oakland Car Crash
More than $90K has been raised for a Bergen County family that was hit by a car on Thursday, killing 4-year-old boy.
OAKLAND, NJ — Services will be held this week for Jalen Caleb Gomez, the 4-year-old Oakland boy who died after his family was hit by a car last Thursday.
According to officials and reports, a mother was heading home from a pediatrics appointment with her three children when they were struck by a
car at an Oakland intersection.
Jalen's 5-year-old brother and 9-month-old sister were treated and survived, as did their mother.

Jalen's obituary gave no details of his life but said services will be Friday and Saturday.
More than $90,000 was raised as of Thursday for the family, including $1,200 from the staff of a local day camp.

"My heart is full❤️ I am so very thankful for all of you generous donors!" wrote the family's neighbor, who organized the fundraiser. "Thank you so very much! I appreciate you all. And I am so looking forward to presenting my neighbors with this check."
The county prosecutor's office said they will not be releasing further information in the near future.
They had said that the female driver of the vehicle that hit the family remained on the scene. The crash is being investigated.
