Something Sophisticated Celebrates Its First Year

Franklin Lakes entrepreneurs "Conquer Style" with a cannon logo.

Franklin Lakes businessmen Bijan Zamanian and Edward Bergen celebrated the one-year mark of Something Sophisticated  on Thursday, which in this economy is a pretty big accomplishment.

The upscale store in the Urban Farms Shopping Center isn't your run-of-the-mill men’s clothing store. In addition to carrying clothing and accessory lines by Tommy Bahama, Cole Haan and Jack Spade — a designer exclusive to Something Sophisciated and Barney’s — they also carry their own line of Something Sophisticated clothing. It's logo, the cannon.

“We pride ourselves on a classic, sophisticated look,” Bergen said. “Our clothes just look good. It’s what will carry the cannon to the next level.”
