Student Representatives Sworn In To Ramapo Indian Hills School Board
Newly elected student representatives of Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools were sworn in Monday to the regional school district board.
WYCKOFF, NJ — After they were sworn in Monday to the regional school district board, the newly elected student representatives from Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools provided their student board reports.
"It gives me great pleasure to introduce our new student representatives for the new year: Sofia Wowkun, of Ramapo; and Kinjal Patel, of Indian Hills," Board President John Carolan said.
Wowkun — who participates in track and field, student government, the National Honor Society, and Relay For Life — said she is excited about the school year and to report on all of the "great things happening" at Ramapo.

Patel — who runs track, participates in the Distributive Education Clubs of America and enjoys reading — said she is also looking forward to speaking about the goings-on at Indian Hills during her last year of high school.
Both Wowkun and Patel, who swore to follow board policy in fulfilling their roles as student representatives, were approved by the board.

"It is exciting to have you represent the student bodies at each of our high schools," Superintendent Rui Dionisio said. "Thank you for your service, and we look forward to working with you."
