WYCKOFF, NJ — A landscaping truck caught on fire while traveling south on Route 208, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the air, according to authorities and photos of the scene.

A Fullerton Grounds Maintenance truck was left blackened after the fully involved fire was put out by Wyckoff crews, official sources revealed.

The 2018 Ford F450 caught fire while on 208 South near Cedar Hill Avenue in Wyckoff, and was towed away from the scene after the flames were out, police Lt. Joseph Soto said.

Reports of entrapment, Soto said, were unfounded, and no occupants were found inside upon patrol arrival.
