Teen Musicians Wanted for Grammy Camp

Music industry camp is accepting applications. Scholarships are available.

Talented teens listen up: The Grammy Foundation's bicoastal music industry camp is accepting applications. The camp for U.S. high school students will be held in Los Angeles July 9 to 18  and in New York Aug. 2 to 8. Financial aid is available.

The application deadline is this Thursday, however, you can file for an extention filling out the online application at  www.grammyintheschools.com and then contacting grammycamp@grammy.com for an extension to submit the full application.

"I would encourage any U.S. high school student interested in exploring a career in the music industry — whether as a performer, a producer, a songwriter, a journalist, an engineer or a promoter — to apply to one or both of our Grammy Camps," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy and the Grammy Foundation. "Everything about this unique experience, from the collaborative nature of the creative exchange among campers, to the extraordinary hands-on instruction they receive from Grammy-winning artists and industry professionals, is designed to provide insights, skills and a real-world perspective on what it's like to work in the music industry."
