Tuesday: Water Quality Alert

Fire hydrant flushing continues, lots and lot of spring sports action at the high schools, Environmental Commission meeting and more.

1. United Water is continuing the fire hydrant flushing it began last week. Work is expected to take place in the area of Indian Trail Drive this week. Water quality may be temporarily affected. 

2. Schools may be out on recess, but there are plenty of spring sports going on today. In Lacrosse, Ramapo girls play at Academy of Holy Angels in Demarest at 4:15 p.m. and Indian Hills girls play Columbia at home at 7 p.m. In Tennis, Ramapo boys play Suffern at home at 4 p.m. and Indian Hills play at Riverdell at 4:15 p.m. Ramapo softball is playing Fair Lawn at home at 4:15 p.m. and Ramapo baseball plays Paramus Catholic at home at 4:15 p.m.

3. Watercolor Painting class for seniors will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Community Center. The class is $4.

4. The Environmental Commission meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall. 

5. Don't forget to put out your co-mingled recycling after 3 p.m. today for Wednesday morning pick up.
