Two Wyckoff Homes Burglarized Days Apart, Police Say

A resident on Karen Place and another on Grandview Avenue reported their homes burglarized and items missing.

Wyckoff police are investigating two alleged home burglaries that happened days apart.

The first burglary occurred on Jan. 16 when a Karen Place resident reported “the master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry was reported stolen,” according to Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox. Entry into the house was gained by breaking the rear sliding door’s glass with a large rock while the home had been vacant between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m.

The second burglary happened on Jan. 19 when a Grandview Avenue resident ”reported that she left her home about 9:20 a.m. and returned at 2:30 p.m. to discover that the house had been burglarized,” Chief Fox said. The bedrooms had been searched and jewelry was reported stolen. Entry was gained by kicking open the front door.
