Waldwick Woman Struck By Car In Wyckoff: PD

A pedestrian was struck at intersection of Crescent and Franklin avenues on Wednesday night, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ - A 57-year-old Waldwick woman was sent to the hospital Wednesday night after being struck by a car in Wyckoff, police said.

Around 6:40 p.m., the pedestrian was crossing at the intersection of Crescent and Franklin avenues when she was hit by a car driven by a 38-year-old Wyckoff woman, Police Lt. Joseph Soto said.

Further investigation revealed the collision occurred when the driver turned left onto Crescent Avenue and struck the woman, who was in a marked crosswalk, Soto said.

The pedestrian sustained "what appeared to be minor injuries" and was taken to an area hospital by Wyckoff Ambulance Corps, the lieutenant said.

The driver remained at the scene and no summonses have been issued as of now, Soto said.
