This money will then be donated to Oasis Haven for Women and Children, a nonprofit organization based in Paterson, New Jersey. Willow & Whisk ownership said they chose the organization in an "effort to change the lives of women and children by breaking the cycle of poverty."

"Our staff voted and Oasis was the winning charity," said General Manager Anna Bischoff. "Everyone in our restaurant family is thrilled with this choice."

The drive started on Friday, and co-owner AJ DiBenedetto said the timing works out so the donation can be made before end-of-year holidays.

Guests will be informed of the donation drive at the end of their meal, and will have an opportunity to add a donation to their check if they would like, according to the restaurant. But, they added, it's also a good idea to mention your plan to donate to your server ahead of time.

“Opening a new restaurant in the midst of a pandemic was a great challenge, but we recognize how fortunate we’ve been since opening and are really excited to give back to those in need," co-owner Rich DiBenedetto. "We also hope with our matching promise that we inspire our guests to give back with us, as a community."
