Wyckoff And 3 Other Bank Branches In Bergen County Will Close In Merger
The Provident Bank and Lakeland Bank will close branches in Wyckoff and 3 other Bergen County towns due to a merger.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A bank in Wyckoff, along with three other banks in Bergen County, will eventually close due to a merger between Provident and Lakeland Bank, the latter company announced this week.
Lakeland, headquartered in West Milford, said that the consolidations will begin on Thursday, Aug. 29.
"While our Provident and Lakeland branch networks are largely complementary, there are twenty-two locations where overlap exists due
to their close proximity to another branch," Lakeland announced. "A careful and thorough review of our combined branch network was undertaken, and we have decided to close either a Provident branch or a Lakeland branch in cases where a single location can serve all of our customers. Consolidations will begin Thursday, August 29, 2024."
